I have been calling squares, cueing rounds and prompting line dances since 1982.  I began in Minot ND and started my first square dance club in Velva ND.  It was called the Prairie Squares.  What a time it was.  I still have the cassette tape of the first night of calling there.  No, it is not for public hearing!  After a couple of years, we moved to Chattanooga TN.  My first venture there was to cue rounds and lines for the Ridge Ramblers Square Dance Club.  That began my twenty year association and friendship with the club caller Don Rush.  I shortly began a round dance club called the Pleasant Grove Rounds in Pleasant Grove, GA.  About the same time I started the Goodtimers Square Dance Club in Athens, TN.  A couple of years later I took over the calling, cueing and lines in  Calhoun,GA for the Cherokee Promanders Square Dance Club.

Well here I am now in my hometown of Orangeburg, SC. I currently call for the Ring-O-Ramblers in Orangeburg, and the Star Promenaders in Columbia, SC.  The Ring-O-Ramblers dance on the 2nd and 4th Saturday nights at the Barn in Orangeburg.  I call the 3rd Saturday night dance at the Star Promenaders.
